Overview
- Merseyside Police said officers were called at about 8:30 p.m. on 26 August to a Devonshire Road address in Toxteth, where Arobieke was found unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene.
- The force said the death is not believed to be suspicious and confirmed a file has been passed to the Liverpool and Wirral coroner.
- Arobieke was jailed in 2003 for harassing 15 men, received a Sexual Offences Prevention Order in 2006 restricting contact with men's muscles and gyms, and was later convicted of breaching that order in 2015.
- He successfully appealed in 2016 to have parts of the order lifted, with a judge finding the specific restrictions could no longer be justified.
- In 2022 he secured a substantial payout from Greater Manchester Police after suing for malicious prosecution and misfeasance, and his earlier manslaughter conviction linked to a 1986 death had been overturned on appeal.
