Akhanda Godavari Puja Postponed, Pawan Kalyan to Lead Groundbreaking Rites by Month-End

  • The Rs97 crore project funded under the Centre’s Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment scheme will modernize the 127-year-old Havelock Bridge and develop spiritual and cultural hubs along the Godavari in five towns.
  • The bhumi puja originally scheduled for June 19 has been cancelled, with new dates expected before the end of June.
  • Pawan Kalyan is set to conduct foundation ceremonies for both the Akhanda Godavari riverfront overhaul and the Andhra Pradesh State Forest Academy in Diwaancheruvu Reserve Forest.
  • The Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change recently approved the diversion of six acres of reserve forest land for permanent Forest Academy buildings.
  • A Sub-Regional Science Centre at Bommuru, built with ₹15.2 crore from the Ministry of Culture, has been completed and will be inaugurated during the upcoming ceremonies.
