  • Batting at No. 8, he struck eight consecutive sixes, including six in one over off left-arm spinner Limar Dabi at Surat’s CK Pithawala Ground.
  • The 11-ball milestone broke Wayne White’s 2012 record of 12 balls and made him only the third player with six sixes in an over, alongside Garry Sobers and Ravi Shastri, and the first to exceed six in succession with eight.
  • He finished unbeaten on 50 from 14 balls with eight sixes and no fours as Meghalaya declared at 628/6 after major contributions from Arpit Bhatewara (207), Kishan Lyngdoh (119) and Rahul Dalal (144).
  • Arunachal Pradesh were dismissed for 73 and forced to follow on, with Aryan Bora taking four wickets as Meghalaya took complete control of the match.
  • The 25-year-old pace-bowling all-rounder also opened the bowling and struck early following his batting blitz.
