Ajay Tamta Steps Up On-Ground Review of Development Works in Manipur's Tribal Districts

The three-day trip signals stepped-up central oversight with a focus on implementation checks plus direct engagement with displaced families.

On day two, Tamta inspected Pherzawl sites including the Parbung Community Health Centre, a Taithu agarbatti unit, local plantations, and the PMGSY road linking Taithu and Zoliensuo.
He earlier led a review at Churachandpur’s Mini Secretariat with Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S, district officers, representatives of internally displaced persons, and scheme beneficiaries.
Benefits under PM-FME, RKVY, Jal Jeevan Mission, and PMJAY were distributed, and displaced students who excelled in board examinations received awards.
Special felicitations were given to ADC leaders Lalthazam and Seiminthang along with two Aspirational Blocks Programme fellows for their contributions to local initiatives.
The schedule lists a meeting with Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, an NHIDCL project review, visits to Kanglatombi War Memorial and Presidency College Motbung, and further distributions under PMJAY, PMAY, PM-KISAN, PMEGP, and Shakti Sadan.
