AJ McLean and Rochelle Continue to Work on Relationship Post-Separation

Couple in Individual and Couples Therapy, Spending More Time Together in Effort to Rebuild Relationship

AJ McLean and Rochelle McLean, who first met in 2008 and married in 2011, decided to temporarily separate in March 2023 after more than a decade of marriage, with the aim of working on themselves and their relationship.
Despite living separately, the couple is actively working on their relationship through individual and couples therapy, and are spending more time together.
AJ McLean acknowledged that both he and Rochelle brought their own issues into the relationship, including his struggle with substance abuse, and that their time apart has allowed for significant growth and understanding.
AJ McLean has improved his communication with his daughters, Elliot and Lyric, and his wife Rochelle, using the acronym 'luver' which stands for listen, understand, vulnerable, empathy, and reiterate.
The couple's plan is to come back together and continue to nurture their love for one another and their family, asking for respect and privacy during this time.
