Overview

• CRS approval in June 2025 cleared the 51.38 km Bairabi–Sairang line for passenger and freight operations, adding Aizawl to the national railway map.
• Railway Board chairman Satish Kumar met Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma in Aizawl to review the completed line and discuss next-phase rail priorities.
