Overview

  • The Athletics Integrity Unit announced the four-year sanction on Aug. 19 following an out-of-competition urine sample from December 2024 that showed testosterone metabolites.
  • Her period of ineligibility is dated from May 13, 2025, the day of her provisional suspension, and runs through May 2029.
  • The AIU said Bekh-Romanchuk denied taking testosterone but could not explain the presence of the metabolites.
  • In a social media statement, she said she strongly disagreed with the decision, refused to sign documents admitting guilt, and plans to focus on her family and health.
  • Bekh-Romanchuk, 30, is a world silver medalist in both long jump and triple jump and a European champion in triple jump.
