Overview

• Westermeier will take charge on September 1, 2025, succeeding Rémi Maillard as head of Airbus operations in India and South Asia.
• Since 2020 he has served as chief procurement officer, building a global supplier network now central to his regional leadership.
• He will oversee commercial aircraft sales along with defence, space and helicopter businesses across the region.
• His remit includes expanding Airbus’ services in engineering, digital innovation and training throughout India and neighbouring markets.
• He will deepen manufacturing collaborations such as the Airbus-Tata C-295 military transport assembly and H-125 helicopter final assembly line.
