Airbnb and Uber Provide Emergency Support for Los Angeles Wildfire Evacuees

Airbnb.org offers free housing while Uber and Lyft provide complimentary rides to shelters as wildfires displace thousands across the county.

Airbnb.org, the nonprofit arm of Airbnb, is partnering with 211 LA to provide free temporary housing for residents displaced by wildfires in Los Angeles County.
Displaced individuals can apply for seven days of free housing, with options to extend to 30 days for those who have lost their homes entirely.
Uber and Lyft are offering free or discounted rides to local shelters, with promo codes WILDFIRE25 and CAFIRERELIEF25, respectively, covering ride costs up to $40 and $25.
Airbnb.org has facilitated over 1.6 million free emergency stays globally since its inception, including for victims of the Maui wildfires and the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
Local hotels and organizations, such as Mutual Aid LA, are also stepping in to provide discounted stays, pet-friendly accommodations, and additional resources for evacuees.
