Airbnb and Uber Provide Emergency Support for Los Angeles Wildfire Evacuees

  • Uber and Lyft are offering free or discounted rides to local shelters, with promo codes WILDFIRE25 and CAFIRERELIEF25, respectively, covering ride costs up to $40 and $25.
  • Airbnb.org has facilitated over 1.6 million free emergency stays globally since its inception, including for victims of the Maui wildfires and the Turkey-Syria earthquake.
  • Local hotels and organizations, such as Mutual Aid LA, are also stepping in to provide discounted stays, pet-friendly accommodations, and additional resources for evacuees.
