• Air New Zealand claimed the world’s safest airline title from AirlineRatings.com, edging out Qantas by just 1.5 points thanks to its young fleet and proactive safety protocols.
• AirlineRatings.com named HK Express the safest low-cost carrier and rated Air India 4 out of 7 stars, with Air India Express earning only 2 stars.
• At the Paris Air Show, Qatar Airways was voted World’s Best Airline by Skytrax for the ninth time and also took home the Best Business Class award.
• Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Emirates and ANA All Nippon Airways filled ranks two through five in the Skytrax poll, while no U.S. carrier cracked the top 20.
• Air Canada led North American airlines by ranking 19th globally and winning regional honours for Best Airline and Best Business Class Lounge Dining.
