Air New Zealand Conducting Passenger Weigh-Ins for Data Collection

Air New Zealand is weighing passengers departing on international flights from Auckland International Airport through July 2, 2023 to gather data on weight load and distribution for planes.
The airline is conducting a voluntary weigh-in survey for passengers and their baggage on international flights out of Auckland International Airport to reassess weight load and distribution.
Air New Zealand is asking passengers leaving Auckland on international flights to step on a scale and take off their shoes as part of a "passenger weight survey" to ensure optimal distribution of flight loads.
The survey will continue until July 2 and include passengers on the new direct flight from Auckland to New York JFK.
Air New Zealand says it has made the data anonymous to protect individuals’ privacy.
