Overview
- Air India will operate 114 extra flights from October 15 to November 2, adding 38 each on the Delhi–Patna, Mumbai–Patna, and Bengaluru–Patna routes.
- Air India Express will run 52 extra flights from October 22 to November 3, with 26 on Delhi–Patna and 26 on Bengaluru–Patna.
- The carriers say the boost addresses heavy demand linked to Diwali and Chhath Puja as well as Bihar’s assembly polls on November 6 and 11.
- The additions are on top of existing weekly services reported by the airlines, expanding near-term capacity into and out of Patna.
- Indian Railways has scheduled roughly 12,000 to 12,739 festival special trains operating from October 1 to November 15 to handle peak travel.
