Overview

  • Airmen without authenticated orders slated to move within the continental US from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31 now won’t relocate until at least Jan. 31, 2026.
  • AAC 50 controlled-tour assignments set for November and December have been pushed into late January and February of next year.
  • Transfers involving overseas stations, authenticated orders, departure dates through Sept. 30, mission-critical assignments and all Space Force, Guard and Reserve moves are exempt from the delay.
  • Chief Master Sgt. David Flosi cited a PCS budget shortfall and encouraged affected airmen to request policy exceptions through their chain of command or The Airman’s Dispatch.
  • The temporary pause recalls a similar funding-driven hold in 2023 and advances a Pentagon directive to halve PCS spending by fiscal 2030.
