Overview

  • The uniform is the latest installment in the Air Power Series, a program that since 2022 has honored Space Force, the 2023 Doolittle Raid and last season’s Special Operations Command.
  • Air Force unveiled the gray kit on August 12 through its official Twitter account, releasing photos and design notes to media outlets.
  • The helmet mirrors F-16 pilot gear with a jet-silhouette visor cover, the word “Psycho” honoring Col. William Andrews and “Viper” as the aircraft’s call sign.
  • The jersey features “Air Force” lettering, American flag and squadron patches while the pants carry “Viper” and “Fighting Falcon” text plus the USAF roundel.
  • Players will debut the alternate uniform on Oct. 4 in Annapolis against Navy, with the noon Eastern kickoff airing on CBS.
