Overview
- With this lot, the number of MH-139A helicopters under contract rises to 34, following a seven-aircraft award in April.
- The package includes training and sustainment services to accelerate fielding and long-term fleet readiness.
- The first aircraft from this batch are anticipated to be deployed to Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.
- Boeing has delivered 18 helicopters so far, including 12 from low-rate initial production, and completed the first operational unit at Malmstrom AFB; four additional deliveries are expected this year.
- The MH-139A, adapted from Leonardo’s AW139 to replace the UH-1N Huey, recently completed OT&E as the program advances toward Initial Operational Capability.
