Overview

  • In a Friday morning update, the airline said 98% of Canadian flights and 99% of U.S. and international flights are expected to operate in the next 24 hours.
  • Air Canada expects roughly 142,000 customers to travel over that period as flights ramp back up.
  • The airline reports it is clearing a backlog, working with partner carriers to add capacity, and restoring service ahead of plan.
  • Reimbursement has been expanded to include reasonable lodging and meal expenses for travelers affected by the disruption.
  • More than 10,000 CUPE-represented flight attendants will vote next week on a tentative deal that includes wage increases and pay for ground duties.
