- Service is scheduled to start in late March 2026 with three weekly rotations.
- Departures from Almaty run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 19:10 with arrival in Shanghai at 04:25 the next day, and returns operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays leaving at 05:40 and arriving at 10:15, all local times.
- Flights will be operated by Airbus A321LR aircraft with an estimated flight time of about 6 hours 15 minutes.
- Published round-trip fares start at US$560 for economy and US$1,835 for business class, including taxes and fees.
- Shanghai joins Air Astana’s China network alongside Beijing, Guangzhou, Sanya and Urumqi.
