- The Asian Games run September 19–October 4 with the opening ceremony on September 19, and the Asian Para Games run October 18–24 with the opening on October 18.
- Men’s basketball begins early on September 10 at IG Arena in Nagoya, starting competition before the opening ceremony.
- Medal events start on September 20, with the men’s triathlon slated to produce the first Asian Games medalist.
- Rebuilt Paloma Mizuho Stadium is designated the main venue and will host athletics, where 46 gold medals will be awarded.
- The program currently lists 41 sports and 461 events across 53 venues for the Asian Games and 18 sports and 502 events across 19 venues for the Para Games, with some timetables unannounced and the OCA’s requests to add padel and teqball still under discussion.
