- The Comité Promotor de Inversiones del Estado de Aguascalientes officially began operations on July 24 with members from state and federal authorities, universities and the private sector

- The launch forms part of the nationwide Plan México initiative to establish similar investment-promotion bodies in every state as formal forums for dialogue on investment needs
- At the installation event local firms such as Grupo San Jacinto, Dilusa and Galletas Vanessa received Hecho en México certificates to boost their access to national and international markets
