Overview

• The state public works department says a 2025 plan spans roads, schools, tourism, sports and security, benefiting more than 1.5 million residents and visitors.
• About 412 million pesos this year are allocated to conserve and rehabilitate road sections statewide to improve safety and comfort.
• The fifth stage of the Tercer Anillo upgrade is underway with a 220 million peso investment paving the stretch from Avenida de los Maestros to Boulevard Juan Pablo II.
• The Villa Sur bridge has been built for 46 million pesos to ease long-standing traffic problems in the south of the capital.
• Additional works include access roads to UAA’s Bachillerato in Rincón de Romos and the Universidad Intercultural para la Igualdad in San Francisco de los Romo, lighting at the Santuario del Cristo Roto and velaria rehabilitation, a rehabilitation center for adolescent women in process, new Unpol classrooms, park and sports-court upgrades, new bike lanes and road fixes in the Valle de Aguascalientes industrial park.
