'AGT' Season 18 Premiere Honors Late Contestant Nightbirde With Emotional Golden Buzzer

Mzansi Youth Choir from South Africa received the first-ever Audience Golden Buzzer on America's Got Talent season 18 premiere.
They performed a touching rendition of "It's Okay" by late AGT season 16 singer Nightbirde, who received Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer that season.
Nightbirde withdrew from the show weeks later due to her health and passed away in February 2022 at age 31.
Simon Cowell suggested granting the choir an Audience Golden Buzzer as a tribute to Nightbirde, which was a historic moment for the show.
The premiere episode also featured other noteworthy acts including Three G and Shadow Ace.
