Overview
- Argentina exported US$39.741 billion in the first half of 2025, with agroindustrial chains contributing US$23.827 billion, according to FADA’s Monitor.
- Within agroindustrial earnings, 69% came from grain chains, 14% from regional economies, 9% from meats, 3% from dairy and 5% from other sectors.
- Eleven of 20 chains increased exports in both value and volume, including maize, fisheries, sunflower, peanuts, grapes, pears and apples, forestry, lemon, rice, ovine and yerba, while soybean, pork, tea and poultry fell on both measures.
- Argentina ranks first in exports of peanuts, soybean oil and lemon, second in soybean meal and yerba mate, and third in maize, with Vietnam the top buyer of Argentine corn and Brazil leading purchases of wheat.
- On average 47% of output from the analyzed chains is exported, with pears, fisheries, pulses, lemon, tea, maize, sunflower, barley, wheat, peanuts and soy above 50%, while meats and dairy remain majority domestic.
