Agilis Cuts DonauwörthUlm Trains Through Sunday After DB Construction Overrun

A DB InfraGO overrun has pushed long-distance and freight traffic onto a single-track detour, reducing capacity for regional services.

Overview

  • Numerous Agilis regional trains on the DonauwörthUlm corridor are canceled, with remaining services facing significant delays.
  • The unfinished AugsburgGünzburg works are the stated cause, according to Agilis.
  • Rerouted long-distance and freight trains on the single-track DonauwörthGünzburg line are overloading the route and displacing regional services.
  • Agilis has activated an emergency timetable, is running replacement buses, and is turning Ingolstadt trains at Donauwörth with transfers required toward Günzburg and Ulm.
  • Disruptions are expected through Sunday, October 5, as separate DB works on the Rheintalbahn over the long weekend and on Allgäu routes on October 5–6 also alter travel plans.
