  • Peru’s IGP reported a magnitude 4.8 at 02:28 local located 295 km south of Tacna at 138 km depth, rated intensity III in Tacna with no damages or victims reported.
  • Two consecutive quakes near Sullana, Piura on Jan. 12 evening registered magnitudes 4.1 and 4.2 with intensities II–III, and no major material damage reported.
  • USGS listings show 17 events over the past 24 hours across Alaska, New Mexico, Hawaii, Texas and Puerto Rico, topped by a magnitude 4.2 in the Aleutian Islands.
  • Chile’s CSN recorded small events including ML 3.2 east of Socaire and ML 3.6 near Mina Collahuasi, with authorities maintaining routine monitoring and preparedness guidance.
