Overview

  • The AGCO imposed a $350,000 Order of Monetary Penalty on June 26, 2025, citing multiple breaches of Ontario’s gaming standards.
  • An electronic dance music concert on September 27, 2024, at the adjoining theatre led to widespread intoxication, disorderly behaviour and medical and criminal incidents.
  • Casino management approved an impromptu after-party on the active gaming floor for over 400 guests without conducting any risk assessment or security planning.
  • Security personnel were unable to control the floor, with reports of attendees climbing on slot machines and a failure to promptly report the disturbances to the AGCO.
  • The operator has acknowledged the ruling and is implementing new compliance measures to address the operational and safety shortcomings highlighted by the regulator.
