After Srisailam Temple Visit, Modi Set to Launch Rs 13,430-Crore Projects in Andhra Pradesh

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Srisailam temple with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan before heading to Kurnool.
  • At Kurnool, he will inaugurate, dedicate and lay foundation stones for projects across power, industry, transport and energy valued at about Rs 13,430 crore.
  • The Kurnool-III transmission upgrade features a 765 kV double‑circuit line to Chilakaluripeta, adding 6,000 MVA capacity to enable large-scale renewable power evacuation.
  • Industrial areas at Orvakal and Kopparthy carry a combined public investment of over Rs 4,920 crore and are projected to draw about Rs 21,000 crore in private capital and roughly one lakh jobs, according to the PMO.
  • The package includes GAIL’s SrikakulamAngul gas pipeline, Indian Oil’s Chittoor LPG plant, a new Sabbavaram–Sheelanagar greenfield highway with six other road works, key rail projects, and BEL’s night‑vision factory at Nimmaluru, with the PM also addressing a ‘Super GST – Super Savings’ public event.
