The legal fight centers on a ministerial move issued after the Senate rejected the enabling decree.

Overview

  • Economy Ministry Resolution 1240/25, signed on August 21, placed more than 400 employees into disponibilidad, including 49 at the INV in Mendoza and nearly 300 at INTA headquarters.
  • The measure followed the Senate’s definitive rejection of Decree 462/25 and appeared to run counter to a San Martín federal court injunction that barred applying that decree to INTA.
  • ApINTA filed a criminal complaint accusing Economy Minister Luis Caputo of disobeying a judicial order related to the injunction.
  • ATE submitted a 127-page amparo to reverse the INV placements and to challenge Decrees 462/25 and 585/25 and the Economy Ministry resolution as unconstitutional.
  • Affected staff at INV and INTA report no formal administrative notifications and continue working in assemblies, as regional officials warn of halted research and community projects in the NOA.
