Overview
- Total kharif foodgrain production is estimated at 173.33 million tonnes, up 3.87 million tonnes from last year.
- Rice is pegged at a record 124.50 million tonnes as maize climbs to 28.30 million tonnes, lifting coarse cereals to 41.41 million tonnes.
