- Ivory Coast, Senegal and South Africa won on the final matchday to complete Africa’s nine direct qualifiers alongside Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana and Cape Verde.
- Senegal beat Mauritania 4-0 in Dakar with a Sadio Mané brace, Ivory Coast defeated Kenya 3-0 in Abidjan through Franck Kessié, Yan Diomandé and Amad Diallo, and South Africa topped Rwanda 3-0 in Mbombela.
