  • The new position was created when AFL CEO Andrew Dillon divided Laura Kane’s former duties, with Kane now responsible for AFLW, VFL and VFLW operations.
  • Swann’s remit includes oversight of umpiring, the match review system, laws of the game, game analysis and club engagement.
  • He brings over 25 years of AFL club administration experience from CEO stints at Collingwood, Carlton and the Brisbane Lions.
  • Sam Graham, Brisbane Lions’ chief operating officer, is expected to succeed Swann as the club’s CEO.
