• The festival runs Oct. 22–26 in Los Angeles and will screen work from 56 countries.
• More than 150 features and shorts include new films by Jim Jarmusch, Paolo Sorrentino, Werner Herzog and Charlie Kaufman.
• Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother joins the slate after winning the Golden Lion at Venice in September.
• Nineteen selections are competing as their countries’ submissions for the Oscars’ Best International Feature Film category.
• Guest artistic director Guillermo del Toro curates four classics: Barry Lyndon, Fellini’s Casanova, The Duellists and Arcane Sorcerer.
