Afghanistan Rule Out Mohammad Saleem for Bangladesh ODIs, Call Up Bilal Sami

The call-up comes as Afghanistan look to reset after a 3-0 T20I sweep by Bangladesh.

  • Right-arm seamer Mohammad Saleem has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series with a groin adductor overload.
  • According to the ACB, Saleem will undergo rehabilitation at the board’s High Performance Centre until he fully recovers.
  • Twenty-one-year-old Bilal Sami replaces him in the ODI squad, bringing one ODI cap and 44 wickets in 25 List-A matches after strong recent domestic form.
  • The ODIs are scheduled for October 8, 11 and 14 at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
