Overview
- The tournament runs Dec. 21 to Jan. 18, opening with Morocco vs. Comoros in Rabat and concluding with the final at Complex Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah.
- Twenty-four teams are split into six groups of four, with the top two in each group plus the four best third-placed teams advancing to single-leg knockout ties decided by extra time and penalties if required.
- Group allocations are set across A–F, including Group B featuring Egypt, South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe, and Group F comprising Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique.
- Matches will be staged across six Moroccan cities — Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakech, Fes and Agadir — with Rabat using multiple venues and Tangier’s Grand Stade the largest stadium in use.
- ESPN projects as many as 45 Premier League players could be selected for national duty, and PUMA has unveiled the tournament’s official match ball.
