AFC Bournemouth Stadium Expansion Gets Go-Ahead for Enabling Works

Funding from owner Bill Foley is in place as the club moves into the first phase of a rebuild targeting roughly 20,200 seats.

The eastern BCP planning committee approved the enabling works by an 8–0 vote with one abstention, clearing foundations for a new South Stand, a perimeter fence with turnstiles, and a broadcast compound.
Club executives said they are ready to deliver and that supporters will see immediate activity at the ground, including early site clearances around the South Stand.
The multi‑phase programme, reported at about £90m–£100m, is set to demolish and rebuild the South Stand this year before expanding the North and East Stands to add more than 8,000 seats.
Councillors highlighted transport challenges including a net loss of 155 parking spaces and a rerouted cycle path, leading to conditions designed to manage parking and traffic.
A transport working group including the council, police, SWR, National Rail, Go South Coast and the club will coordinate stadium access and promote travel by walking, cycling and public transport.
