• Boletín Oficial N.º 6701 formalized the Licencia Pro on August 4, setting the framework for Director Deportivo certification.
• From the 2026 season, Liga Profesional and Primera Nacional clubs must appoint a director with the Licencia Pro and the requirement extends to lower divisions and the women’s top tier in 2027.
• Futbolistas Argentinos Agremiados will issue the license under AFA oversight after candidates complete the FAA-UNTREF Diplomatura en Dirección Deportiva or validate equivalent past studies.
• Licensed directors must be registered in AFA’s COMET information system to appear on official club rosters.
• FAA and AFA will jointly implement, control and supervise the program as part of broader efforts to boost transparency and accountability in Argentine football management.
