Overview
- The AFA officially named Nicolás Ramírez as the referee for the Primera Nacional promotion final between Godoy Cruz and Tristán Suárez on 15 November at 17:00 in Belgrano’s Córdoba stadium.
- The match will be a single game to decide direct promotion to the Liga Profesional and will go to extra time and then penalties if teams are tied after 90 minutes.
- Ramírez will be supported by assistants Pablo González and Eric Grunmann, fourth official Álvaro Carranza, VAR Hernán Mastrángelo and AVAR Javier Uziga, all listed in AFA’s formal roster.
- The appointment renews scrutiny because Ramírez sent off Lucas Martínez Quarta and Gonzalo Montiel in the recent Boca–River Superclásico and a red card to Martínez Quarta was later changed after VAR review by Silvio Trucco.
- AFA and the Dirección Nacional de Arbitraje have publicly backed Ramírez’s performance, cited a prior surgical leave for his absence from the last regular round, and urged cooling of tensions as clubs and fans react.
