Aeropuertos Argentina Launches $600 Million Expansion at Aeroparque and Ezeiza to Meet Record Traffic

The operator says it will fund the works from its own cash following a surge in routes enabled by deregulation.

Overview

  • ANAC reported 4,324,805 passengers in August 2025 across Argentina, a record for the month and up 6% versus August 2019 and 13% versus August 2024.
  • At Aeroparque, the domestic boarding area will expand into the former Le Pain Quotidien space with added check-in counters by year-end, followed by an international area expansion next year without disrupting operations.
  • Ezeiza will add four domestic boarding gates, a new VIP lounge, and a larger waiting area, with domestic arrivals set in Terminal A and domestic departures in the former Terminal C.
  • The new tranche builds on roughly $1.2 billion invested over the past six years and extends to provincial projects including major works in Salta, Tucumán, Mendoza, San Rafael, Formosa, San Juan, Córdoba, Río Grande, and Río Gallegos.
  • Company data cite about 55 new routes in 2025, including China Eastern’s twice-weekly EzeizaShanghai service via Auckland, and leadership credits deregulation for airline entry while stating current investments are covered with internal resources.
