A+E Networks Resolves 'Live PD' Lawsuit and Signs Major Licensing Deal With Amazon

The settlement clears the way for Reelz's 'On Patrol: Live' to continue airing while expanding A&E content on Amazon's Prime Video.

A+E Networks has settled a copyright lawsuit against Big Fish Entertainment and Reelz over the alleged similarities between 'Live PD' and Reelz's 'On Patrol: Live.'
The legal dispute stemmed from claims that 'On Patrol: Live' was a derivative of 'Live PD,' which A+E argued it owned exclusively.
As part of the settlement, A+E and Amazon, which owns Big Fish, signed a multi-year licensing agreement to expand A&E content on Prime Video.
The deal includes A&E library content, rental and purchase options, add-on subscriptions, and the launch of additional FAST Channels in the U.S.
Reelz's 'On Patrol: Live,' produced by Big Fish, is cleared to continue airing and has been renewed through January 2025, with potential for further extensions.
