ADOT Schedules Weekend Closures on Loop 101 and Loop 202, Sept. 26–29

ADOT says schedules could shift if rain moves in, so drivers should check az511 for updates.

Overview

  • Northbound Loop 101 in Scottsdale will close between Shea Boulevard and Princess Drive/Pima Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for widening, with on-ramps at Via De Ventura and 90th Street also closed.
  • Westbound Loop 202 in Chandler will close between Arizona Avenue and Price Road during the same window for bridge work tied to a widening project, with on-ramps at Gilbert, Cooper and McQueen roads closed.
  • Southbound Loop 101 in Tempe will be reduced to two lanes between University Drive and Broadway Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday for maintenance, with the University on-ramp and Broadway off-ramp closed.
  • Additional restrictions include the southbound Loop 101 frontage road closed between Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Raintree Drive from 9 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, plus Arizona Avenue closed at Loop 202 from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Saturday.
  • Detours include using westbound Loop 202 to State Route 51 to reach Loop 101 and using westbound US 60 or Pecos and Germann roads for the Loop 202 closure, with extra travel time advised.
