Adobe Puts Photoshop, Express and Acrobat Inside ChatGPT for Free

The move makes creative and PDF work conversational in ChatGPT, with projects transferable to Adobe’s web apps.

Overview

  • Photoshop, Adobe Express and Acrobat are now available inside ChatGPT on desktop, web and iOS, with Express live on Android and Photoshop/Acrobat Android support coming soon.
  • The integrations are free to use at launch but are not available in the European Union or the United Kingdom, where OpenAI’s Apps SDK is not offered.
  • Users can invoke the apps by naming them in a prompt or via the + menu, with Adobe sign-in required for Express and Acrobat while key Photoshop features work without sign-in.
  • Capabilities include selective image edits and effects in Photoshop with in-chat sliders, PDF editing/merging/extraction and conversions in Acrobat, and template-based creation and animation in Express, with the option to open work in Adobe’s web apps with edits preserved.
  • Adobe says content edited in ChatGPT is not saved to users’ Creative Cloud or Acrobat accounts and it does not train its generative models on customer data, while OpenAI provides a training opt-out and neither company has disclosed revenue-sharing terms.
