Adobe Introduces AI Reflection Removal Tool for RAW Photos

The new feature, available in Photoshop 2025, uses AI to separate reflections from underlying scenes, with plans for broader compatibility in the future.

Adobe's Reflection Removal tool, originally previewed as 'Project See Through,' is now available as a technology preview in Photoshop 2025 and Adobe Bridge.
The tool uses AI trained on composite images to distinguish reflections from the intended scene, but currently works only with RAW image files.
Users can adjust the intensity of the reflection removal with a slider, which can isolate the reflection, remove it, or restore it entirely.
While effective on large, prominent reflections, the tool struggles with smaller or more complex reflections, such as those on glasses or car surfaces.
Adobe plans to expand Reflection Removal compatibility to JPEG and HEIC files and integrate it into Lightroom in the near future.
