Overview
- Adobe announced Thursday that it is adding Firefly sidebars to Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io so users can send prompts and have the assistant perform actions inside each app.
- The company added pre-built Creative Skills for end-to-end work, including Brand kit creation, Short product videos, Quick Cut for automatic rough cuts, and Storyboards to turn ideas into sequences.
- Elements and Projects launched in private beta to let creators save reusable characters, objects and locations and to collect generations, assets, and project context in one place.
- Agentic features can run concrete tasks on users’ behalf, for example organizing and batch-renaming clips in Premiere, fact-checking a Photoshop file against a client brief, updating InDesign layouts to new brand rules, and running Illustrator pre-print checks.
- Firefly already works with ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot and Adobe says it will add Google Gemini and Slack support, a push that could shift how teams work by bringing AI-driven production tools into the apps and platforms they already use.
