Adobe Commits $6 Million to Support Underrepresented Filmmakers
The Adobe Film & TV Fund will provide grants, contributions, and fellowships to address inequity in the film and TV industry.
- Adobe and the Adobe Foundation have announced the creation of the Adobe Film & TV Fund, committing $6 million to support underrepresented creators in the film and TV industry.
- The fund aims to address the inequity in funding, career, and training opportunities in the entertainment industry through grants, contributions, fellowships, and Adobe Creative Cloud product donations.
- The initiative will partner with global organizations including Easterseals, Gold House, The Latinx House, NAACP, Sundance Institute, and Yuvaa, to fund fellowships and apprenticeships that offer direct, hands-on industry access.
- The first fellowship under this initiative, in collaboration with the NAACP, is designed to increase representation in post-production. The 14-week program will focus on education and training, career growth, and workplace experience.
- Applications for the NAACP fellowship will open on January 18 for four fellows, with the program starting in May of this year.
