Adán Augusto López Presents Tax Records to Counter 79 Million-Peso Omission Allegations

He maintains his SAT filings match his patrimonial report for the questioned income.

Overview

  • Following a Televisa N+ report alleging he failed to declare 79 million pesos from 2023–2024, the Morena Senate leader rejected the claim and said the total matches his reported income rather than hidden funds.
  • He displayed fiscal and patrimonial documents and cited payments of 158,900 pesos ISR on 22,626,398 pesos of income in 2023 and 1,337,000 pesos ISR on 24,539,998 pesos of income in 2024.
  • He attributed the funds to inheritances, U.S. legal settlements and professional and business activities including notarial services, rentals and cattle operations, and said taxes were paid.
  • Addressing references to GH Servicios Empresariales as a "phantom" firm, he said the company was removed from the SAT blacklist in 2018 and explained shared contact data with his brother as the result of using the same accountant.
  • He refused to resign as Morena’s Senate coordinator, claimed support from Morena, PT and PVEM senators, denied pacts with criminals regarding Hernán Bermúdez and said he would not make the same security appointment today.
