Adán Augusto Defends 78 Million Pesos in Income as Media Flag Gaps in Records

Independent checks now question whether his explanations align with his public declarations.

Overview

  • After an N+ report alleging 79 million pesos from private firms not reflected in patrimonial filings, Adán Augusto López acknowledged more than 78 million in 2023–2024 and said all was declared to the SAT.
  • He presented tax figures citing 22.6 million pesos for 2023 and 56 million for 2024, attributing the money to professional services, rents, livestock and a U.S. inheritance, and he rejected any conflict of interest.
  • An independent review of his Plataforma Nacional de Transparencia records found the reported amounts are not shown and flagged contradictions between his explanations and the posted declarations.
  • One company named, GH Servicios Empresariales, had been sanctioned by the SAT for presumed simulated operations; López said he was a provider and the firm’s status was later regularized.
  • President Claudia Sheinbaum urged him to clarify, his former security chief Hernán Bermúdez was linked to process and remains in Altiplano, and there is no known criminal investigation against López.
