Adele Honored at THR's Women in Entertainment Gala

The singer pays tribute to influential women in her life and praises Kerry Washington for her work in amplifying underrepresented voices.

Adele received the prestigious Sherry Lansing Leadership Award at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment breakfast gala, presented by Helen Mirren.
In her acceptance speech, Adele paid tribute to the influential women in her life, including her mother, grandmother and aunts, and acknowledged the impact they had on her character and personality.
Adele also expressed admiration for Kerry Washington, who was honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award for amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in the entertainment industry.
During the event, Dua Lipa, Camila Cabello, Billie Lourd and Lily Gladstone presented four full-ride scholarships to Chapman University and Loyola Marymount as part of THR's Women in Entertainment mentorship program.
Over $1 million in university scholarships were awarded to female high school seniors from under-served communities in Los Angeles, who will also be paired with top-level female entertainment executives, lawyers and agents.
