Magic star Paolo Banchero missed a short banker with 11.9 seconds left and a 3-pointer that could have sent the game to overtime.
Banchero led all scorers with 25 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter.
Miami's Duncan Robinson scored a team-high 23 points, Adebayo added 21 points and 11 rebounds.
This was the first NBA game won with less than 100 points since December 11, 2021.
