Adani Power Q2 Net Profit Drops 11.8% as Revenue and EBITDA Hold Steady

Weather-driven demand weakness compressed merchant tariffs, pressuring profit despite stable revenue and operating earnings.

Overview

  • Consolidated net profit fell to Rs 2,906.46 crore in Q2 FY26, an 11.8% decline year-on-year.
  • Revenue from operations was broadly flat at Rs 13,456.84 crore, and consolidated EBITDA was essentially unchanged at Rs 6,001 crore.
  • Management cited the early and prolonged monsoon and a high prior-year heat-wave base for subdued demand and softer merchant tariffs.
  • Operating capacity increased to 18,150 MW after acquiring 600 MW from Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd through the insolvency process.
  • New long-term PPAs totaled about 4.57 GW across Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, power sales rose 7.4% to 23.7 BU, and the CEO reaffirmed a 42 GW capacity target by 2031–32.
