Adani Group Secures $4.1 Billion Motilal Nagar Redevelopment Project in Mumbai

The project, spanning 143 acres, will rehabilitate thousands of residential and commercial units under MHADA's oversight.

Adani Properties emerged as the highest bidder for the Motilal Nagar redevelopment project, offering ₹36,000 crore ($4.1 billion).
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) retains full control over the project, with Adani acting as the construction and development agency (C&DA).
The redevelopment will cover 143 acres in Goregaon and rehabilitate 3,372 residential units, 328 commercial units, and 1,600 slum tenements.
Adani's bid exceeded tender requirements by offering 3.97 million square meters of built-up area compared to the required 3.83 million square meters.
This marks Adani's second major redevelopment win in Mumbai, following the Dharavi slum project, further solidifying its presence in the city's real estate market.
