Overview
- The project will carry 1.5 GW of renewable hydro-storage energy from Raigad to Mumbai and nearby regions.
- It includes 3,000 MVA of new substation capacity and related transmission infrastructure across 26,696 circuit kilometres.
- AESL finalized the special purpose vehicle transfer on May 30, 2025, after winning the bid through the TBCB mechanism overseen by RECPDCL.
- The addition will expand AESL’s network to 93,236 MVA of transformation capacity.
- With this award, AESL’s transmission order book rises to Rs61,600 crore, and commissioning is scheduled for January 2028.
